"I started experimenting for the first time when I was 12, or 13," she shared with the host Alexandra Cooper.

"I was involved in an accident with a car and was prescribed opioids. My mother didn't believe she'd need to take the opiates of her

daughter who was 13 however I was drinking at the time. I was targeted by bullies and was looking for an escape

Lovato 30, who is 30 years old The couple's mother said she removed the pills in the hope of having them "locked them up" after she had a look at how many pills they were taking.

It was revealed that the Disney Channel alum has also admitted her confession that she "drank a lot" in their teens.

They said that the first time they drank took place "alone" and that she took beer from her stepdad's refrigerator. The event "should have been a major red flag.

Lovato later admitted to experimenting with cocaine. She said, "At 17, it was my first time trying cocaine and,

as you can imagine I was, loved it to much which eventually led to me seeking treatment when I turned 18.
