The Cleveland Browns are making a change to their wide receiver group.
Browns Reportedly Cutting Veteran Wide
As per Ari Meirov, the Browns have cut Javon Wims. He had six catches for 80 yards in the preseason.
Wims was with The Chicago Bears from 2018-20 before the team didn't bring him back for the 2018 season.
In the three seasons, he played the player racked up 28 receptions, 266 yards, and two touchdowns.
The best season of his career came in the year 2019 when he recorded 18 receptions for 186 yards and an interception.
He was initially contracted by the Browns in April of this year, following being on the market for free agents.
The Browns seem to be confident in their position because the team has Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones.
David Bell, Anthony Schwartz as well as Michael Woods II are all ready to go into the regular season.
