Senior outside player Julia Bergmann has been named ACC Player of the Week twice in a row, after taking unbeaten No.

five Georgia Tech volleyball (5-0) to three more wins in the GT Invitational, the league office announced on Monday.

Bergmann has received both the ACC's weekly accolades as the most outstanding player of the league this year after securing four of these awards in the previous season.

In the past, she was the first athlete in the conference to be awarded ACC player of the week honors four times during a season from the year 2015.

To add to her accomplishments, Bergmann is up to seven total career ACC player of the week awards as well as the total number of nine Atlantic Coast Conference weekly awards

The well-dressed Jacket has led Tech into its 2nd consecutive unbeaten start to the season.


Tech was awarded the MVP award at the tournament hosted at home GT Invitational after piling up 47 kills at a .392 pace 23, 23 digs 9 blocks

along with five assists. With these figures, she's currently leading the country in the number of the number of points in a set (6.32) while being tied for second for kills per game (5.41).
