Braves Outfielder Marcell Ozuna was detained early Saturday morning and charged while under the influence of alcohol.

Ozuna talked to journalists for 18 seconds before his game with the Houston Astros. Ozuna made a statement but didn't respond to any questions.

"I disappointed my team," He stated. "I disappointed my family. I don't have anything to say more. It's a legal matter."

The incident was the 2nd time in as many years by Ozuna. Ozuna was taken into custody on the 29th of May 2021 for strangulation,

aggravated assault, and battery, after police officers claimed they saw him assaulting his wife. The charges were dismissed when the completion of an in-progress diversion program.

Ozuna was detained by a Norcross Police officer in metro Atlanta and was booked into the Gwinnett County jail at about 4:30 a.m. Friday.

He was accused of DUI and for not maintaining the lane, and released with a bond of $1,830.
