Adrienne Bailon and Israel Houghton Welcome a Child Boy

Adrienne Bailon is a mother! On Aug. 16, Bailon, 38, and her husband, Israel Houghton, 51, introduced the arrival of their son, Ever James. The couple shared a black-and-white photograph of themselves cradling their new child in an Instagram submit. “Our child boy is right here & we’re so in love!” they wrote within the caption. “When you’ve got adopted our love story. . .you recognize that our journey to child has been very difficult.”

They went on to explain their elation at their child’s arrival. “He’s value each tear, each disappointment, each delayed prayer, each IVF cycle, each miscarriage. All the pieces,” they wrote. “All we really feel is pleasure and overwhelming love & gratitude. Grateful to God, to our angel surrogate and to all of our family and friends who’ve stood with us for over 5 years on this journey. He is right here and we’ve got by no means been happier to lose sleep!”

Bailon married Gospel singer Houghton in 2016. They’ve been open about their wrestle to conceive since then. “We get these dangerous notices and it will be like ‘and it did not work this time’ or you recognize, I’ve accomplished a number of cycles of IVF and so many different issues, and I will be unhappy for a day,” Bailon mentioned in a 2018 interview with OK! “And like the following day . . . I will be like, ‘OK, I discovered three new child names.’ I do not know why, I refuse to let this be the tip of my story. I do know that it isn’t. And I adore it that I inform myself, it isn’t a query of will I be a mom, it is a query of when. And I promised myself that I am sticking to it [and] that it’ll occur.”

Houghton is already a father to 4 children — Maria, Sonny, and Milan, and Jordan Houghton.
